Donate Your Old Cell Phones to Cell Phones for Soldiers
I recently switched cell phone providers. The new company gave me a tiny prepaid bag to send my cell phone to a collection point but it wasn’t large enough for all of the accessories so it is still on my credenza. On a TV news program I watched a human interest story entitled “Cell Phones for Soldiers.” Started by two teenagers, Robbie and Brittany Bergquist of Lowell, Mass, the non-profit has raised over $1 million in donations and has distributed over 250,000 pre-paid calling cards to soldiers overseas.
